I meant to post this sewing before-and-after picture in December but then things got crazy and I forgot to.

I wanted a red corduroy skirt to wear around the holidays, and then I realized that I already had one. Except, it was in my fabric bin waiting to be turned into a purse because my mom made it for me in 2004 and it was made to fit a body that was at least 70 lbs heavier.

Rather than turn it into a purse, it became a NEW corduroy skirt with a similar silhouette to the original (though shorter, since the original was mid-calf). Sewing success and clothing re-purposing!
